This is the copy of the miraculous crowned icon from the Goshiv Monastery in Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukraine is a copy of the Czestochowa Icon of the Mother of God (Yasnaya Gora, Poland). This image is dear to the heart of every Carpathian (one more, called "Queen of the Carpathians"), who are prayed for healing from severe and incurable spiritual and physical ailments (especially children), intercession for the family, for help in difficult circumstances of life.
In our production of icons, we employ original techniques dating back to ancient monasteries including those of the monastery of St. Pantaleon, always using the best possible tools. Our icons are created on a traditional wooden base and are set in levkas, a chalk-based natural glue and background. The icon is printed on a silk canvas.
